crimson nectar
Steep for 5 minutes, 208°F
For stronger flavor, steep longer.
Herbal infusions have been used as medicines for probably as long as people have known how to boil water. Most of the ingredients in our teas have been used in beverages for centuries if not millenia. In many cases, science has proven out what herbalists have known for ages. For instance, ginger's muscle-relaxing and nausea-reducing properties are as well known to scientists as they are to mothers who prescribe ginger ale to sick children. In other cases, the causes and effects are more difficult to track and the placebo effect may be as important as the chemical interactions.
Regardless, herbal teas are warm, natural and comforting. In fact, the most important health benefits you experience may be improved mental health after a few quiet moments to yourself.
OMG! What a delightful surprise
Crimson nectar is one of my fav. teas. I was suprised to find out it is only in the winter collection. I want it all year round. A very zingy and refreshing flavor. If you need a little something different and satisfying without the calories this is the one.

The Best tea I've ever had!
This was a real surprise. A unique package with a little leaf on top caught my eyes at a church meeting. I waited with anticipation as it steeped. I was well rewarded with the full and delightful flavours of this tea. I look for it every time I go shopping and finally found it. Lucky me! and you when you give it a try! First taste: Oct 2009

AMAZING and should be offered year round!!!
This is one of the most wonderful tasting teas I have ever tasted! The mix of flavors makes every tastebud in my mouth smile and the smell of this tea is incredible! I will have to buy lots of this over the holiday season, as it is a limited edition. :-( I will eagerly await for Tea Forte to discover that this would be a fabulous summertime flavor also....over ice! Yes, I have had it both hot and cold and highly recommend you try it both ways. I have already turned 4 of my friends on to this flavor and they agree!

The caffeine level in a cup of tea can vary by tea type, steeping practices and even the particular tea harvest. We use the following designations as guidelines for the caffeine levels of our teas:
Robust, high caffeine teas; 50-100mg
Lower caffeine teas with shorter steeping times; 30-50mg
Tea/herbal blends with less than 30mg
Decaf tea retains a tiny amount of caffeine
Herbal teas are 100% caffeine free
These steeping guidelines produce the best results for our palates. Use them as a guideline, but you may certainly experiment and find the best results for yours.
